Privacy Policy for The Runner Number 2

Overview

The Runner Number 2 ("the app") is a mobile game for iPhone and iPad developed by Ulvi Cesur ("we", "us"). This privacy policy explains what information is stored, collected and used when you play the app.

In short: the app has no accounts and no sign-in, and we do not run servers that collect your personal information. The only information that leaves your device is what our advertising partner, Google AdMob, collects in order to show ads.

Information We Collect

Information stored on your device

To let you keep playing where you left off, the app saves the following on your device only:

  • Game settings (music and sound effects on or off)
  • Your best distance, hero level and experience, learned skills and achievement progress
  • The items you have unlocked and equipped (skins, hats, power-ups, road themes)
  • Your coin balance, stored in the iOS Keychain
  • Simple counters used to space out ads and to remember whether you bought Remove Ads

This data stays on your device and is not sent to us, so we cannot see or access it.

Information collected by third parties

The app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC). To serve and measure ads, the AdMob SDK may automatically collect certain information, including:

  • Device identifiers (for example the Advertising Identifier, if you allow tracking)
  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Device type, operating system version and app version
  • Ad interaction data (for example ads viewed and clicked)

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. More about how Google uses data from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How Information Is Used

Information stored on your device is used only to run the game. Information collected by AdMob is used to show and measure advertisements. We do not sell, rent or trade any personal information, and we do not use the app to build profiles about you.

Advertising and Your Choices

The app shows two kinds of ads: optional rewarded videos (for example to continue a run after a game over or to double a run's rewards) and occasional full-screen ads between runs. Ads never appear in the middle of a run.

  • Tracking permission. On iOS the app asks whether it may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", ads are not personalised using your Advertising Identifier. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Consent in the EEA, UK and similar regions. Where the law requires it, the app shows a consent message (provided by Google's User Messaging Platform) before ads are loaded, and ads are only requested as permitted by your choices.
  • Ad settings. You can manage how Google personalises ads at adssettings.google.com, and reset your Advertising Identifier in your device settings.
  • Remove Ads. The in-app purchase "Remove Ads" stops the occasional full-screen ads. Optional rewarded videos stay available because you choose to watch them.

In-App Purchases

The app offers optional in-app purchases (Remove Ads, coin packs and a Starter Bundle). Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details, name or Apple ID; the app only receives confirmation from Apple that a purchase was made so it can unlock what you bought. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not collect your personal information on our own servers, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. Data stored on your device is removed when you delete the app. Your coin balance is kept in the iOS Keychain, which iOS may preserve after an app is deleted so that it can be available if you reinstall; it is never transmitted by the app. Data held by Google is subject to Google's own retention practices described in its Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will help resolve it.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, such as the right to access, correct or delete it, or to object to its use for advertising. We do not hold personal data about you, but you can use the controls described above and the tools provided by Google and Apple to exercise these rights. You can also contact us with any request or question.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example if we add new features or services. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
